Asahi Dry Black (5.5 per cent ABV) is brewed like a very ancient lager after being brought in from Japan. It employs the original Super Dry as the same legendary no. 318 yeast, but with the addition of roasted malt for a deeper, darker colour and flavour. You'd think this black beauty, with its dark, velvety lovely looks, would be full-bodied and hefty like a dark ale, but you'd be wrong. Asahi Dry Black, unlike a classic stout or porter, is simple to drink and retains the dry, crisp, refreshing flavour of Asahi Super Dry, which is obtained from the use of rice. Its clean lager flavour provides a deeper sweet nuttiness and a rich, smooth flavour, providing a unique lager experience to UK customers. In Australia, Asahi Dry Black gives a significant point of differentiation.
